Molly and Amir sent Sean some shovels for his birthday and he absolutely loves them. The boys have been digging a hole in our backyard for the last month and a half. It was deeper at one point, but kids keep sliding into it and dragging dirt in with them. Ginger fell into it twice one day. She doesn't see very well anymore and I think she was just trying to get to Sean while he was standing in there. Oops!
The hole is a little too close to the garden, so they're going to have to fill it in soon. I'm sure it will break their hearts when I tell them. I'm also sure that there will be more holes dug in the not-so-distant future.
