Matthew's Birthday
(I didn't take pictures....oops. He had a friend over after school. Later that night a couple other friends came over for a quick visit. It was great!)
Matthew requested that we celebrate Hanukkah. I told him we could light the Menorah every night, which I think is mainly what he was after.
Sophia came to visit with my mom and grandpa. It was such a blast! The kids played for hours sliding down the stairs.
While they were visiting, we had our Winter Solstice dinner.
Christmas was lovely. We had a slow start to the day. We opened presents and relaxed.
The kids really wanted snow for Christmas, so we took them to the mountains. It was just the right amount of snow for us.
Matthew was in a terrible mood. Whiny and complaining and then fell asleep on the way home. That night he started complaining about his throat being too sore to drink. He had strep throat. Poor guy!
A couple days after Matthew was on antibiotics (and no longer contagious) we headed to Tacoma to be with family for more fun.
Little Bird continues to be about the best pet ever!
