Happy Birthday to me! For my birthday I got some new ear piercings. I've wanted to get my helix (the upper cartilage) pierced for a while now, so I decided my birthday was as good of a reason as any. My friend, Sara, had recently had a piercing done and came to support me. I'm sooo glad she was with me! I got a 2nd hole on my right ear first, and the surprise of it or something made my body freak out for a second and I very nearly passed out. I took a few minutes to breathe and collect myself and then he did the one in my left helix. I was expecting that one to hurt more, but it really didn't, so that was nice. I took a few more minutes to cool down. I walked out of the little room and to the counter to sign something and had to sit down on the floor for a minute. It was pretty funny. I'm glad I survived, and I like my new bling.

The weather was so beautiful! It was still chilly, but the sun was shining and so I could see the mountains often. It's probably the best part of the drive into Silverdale.

My mom came to visit for a couple weeks, so Jon and I took the opportunity to have a weekend away. We went to a little house about 30 minutes south of us. It was right on the water, it had a hot tub, kayaks, and no kids. It was so nice and relaxing. I loved it!!
