Maisy Puppy!!

Oh my gosh we have a puppy!!! We picked her out last month, but then we had to wait for her to get a little older before we could bring her home. Matthew and I got to pick her up the day after Mother's Day.

Can you tell how excited Matthew is?!
She was so sweet in the car. She did get car sick, but besides that she was just calm and quiet.

Once we got home, we took her in the back yard for a while to run around after our hour-long drive.

She fell asleep in my arms for a little while.

We took her to school to pick up Sean. He was so excited too. There was a little crowd of kids that gathered around us too. I can't blame them, this little Maisy girl is pretty dang precious.

The boys loved on her and we played a name-game to help her learn her name. After the boys went to bed, we did a little bit of training with her. She sat a couple times for me. We are already impressed and in love with her.

It's been warm this week, so while the boys get popsicles, Maisy gets ice cubes. She's a fan.

Being a puppy must be exhausting, because she sure takes lots of naps.

She's such a helper while I'm weeding. She lays on top of them so I have to work around her. Silly girl.

We are so excited to have her with us. Matthew invites everyone over to come see her (our librarian friend, Sean's teacher, our neighbors, people we see on the street, etc.) and he loves telling people that she's a border collie. It will take some time and effort for her to become the dog we imagine her becoming, but she'll get there. For now, we are loving her soft puppy-ness.
