I was taking the kids to the library this week, and we noticed how far out the tide was. They really wanted to go explore and I had a little extra time, so off we went.
I was trying to have Matthew hold the shell to get an idea of the size of this crab, but he was a bit nervous it would pinch him. This is one of the bigger crabs the kids have caught.
The water is usually about half way up that ramp.
There were moon snails burrowed in the mud and they are huge! Ew!
I should mention that I love that my kids enjoy exploring nature and stuff, but I really don't like them asking to bring a million things home. It means that no matter how much fun they have, they end up leaving mad at me. *sigh* I'll probably take them to the beach again because I love these little guys like nothing else in the world.
